Multiplications once again – Jr 3s

The Junior 3 are multiplying two digit numbers again

E.G:  23 x 2 = 46.

We multiply the unit digit (3) by 2, then we multiply the tens digit (2) by 2.  Therefore the answer is 46.

NB  Please note that no carrying up is being done as yet.  Itr is also important to study the tables from 0 to 7. It is also a must that the children know that the tables are 2 x 3 = 6 and that 2, 4, 6 ets are the MULTIPLES.  So as to be able to make a difference between the multiplication sums and the division sums.

Thank you

Ms Rosette
