Multiplications – Junior 3

Junior 3 have to realise:

  •  that when they are saying the multiples i.e 3, 6, 9, etc. they are saying the tables.
  • That when they are saying the multiples and are counting on their fingers, they are saying the table as if they were saying 1 x 3 = 3, 2 x 3 =6 etc.

May I please point out that this is essential since although most of the children know the multiples they do not relate them to multiplication tables.  We also need these to be able to use them in divisions.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

N.B.  Junior 3 will be learing tables up to 7 by the end of the scholastic year.
